The Corvette E-Ray has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Emira doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Corvette comes with free roadside assistance for 5 years 60,000 miles. Chevrolet will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Emira.

Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Corvette 2 years and 24,000 miles longer than Lotus covers the Emira. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Emira ends after only 3 years or 36,000 miles.

There are almost 76 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Lotus dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Corvette’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Corvette third among compact premium sporty cars in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The Emira isn’t in the top three in its category.

The Corvette can travel with zero emissions on a full charge for 5 miles. The Emira can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

The Corvette offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Emira doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Corvette Z06/E-Ray/ZR1’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Emira (F:275/30R20 & R:345/25R21 vs. F:245/35R20 & R:295/30R20).

The Corvette Z06/E-Ray/ZR1’s 275/30R20 front and 345/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Emira’s 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Corvette Z06/E-Ray/ZR1 has standard 21-inch rear wheels. The Emira’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

The Corvette has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Emira doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Corvette can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Emira doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Corvette offers an optional driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads. The Emira’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Corvette has vehicle speed sensitive variable-assist power steering, for low-effort parking, better control at highway speeds and during hard cornering, and a better feel of the road. The Emira doesn’t offer variable-assist power steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Corvette’s wheelbase is 5.8 inches longer than on the Emira (107.2 inches vs. 101.4 inches).

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Corvette is 1.6 inches wider in the front and 1 inch wider in the rear than the track on the Emira.

The Corvette Z06 Z07 Coupe handles at 1.16 G’s, while the Emira pulls only 1.00 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The engine in the Corvette is mounted longitudinally (North-South), instead of sideways, as in the Emira. This makes it easier to service and maintain, because the accessory belts are in front.

The Corvette has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Emira doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The Corvette’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Emira doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Corvette’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Emira does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Corvette offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, turn signal and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Emira doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Corvette’s standard Keyless Open and Start allow you to unlock the doors from either outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse.
